Should I be screened for hepatitis C?

A friend told me that I should be screened for hepatitis C. I'm not in a high-risk group. Is this really necessary?In addition to expanding screening to all adults up to age 79, the USPSTF advises that doctors especially focus on current or past use of injected drugs, and potentially also screen teenagers who have this risk factor.
