I suffer from recurrent canker sores. What is the best way to treat and prevent these mouth ulcers?In general, there is no clear cause for cankers. Emotional stress or trauma like biting your cheek or lip sometimes triggers them, as can poor-fitting dentures. In some instances, the underlying problem is gluten allergy or a deficiency of a vitamin such as B12, so consult your doctor if you have recurring outbreaks.
